Psychology majors enrolled in our required statistics course often struggle with the class. Many report that they do not believe the course is relevant to them, which may reduce their motivation to perservere when faced with challenging material. In this project, we aim to help students better understand the relevance of statistics and research methods to their future careers by creating a series of videos showcasing current professionals who use statistics and/or research methods as part of their jobs. We hope that by connecting the material to the real work, we will help increase student motivation in the course.
