Clinicians are encouraged to document outcomes to demonstrate treatment effectiveness. Students in the post-professional athletic training program are required to incorporate outcomes collection into their clinical practice. Given the varying level of undergraduate exposure to outcomes collection, some students are unable to systematically collect outcomes in practice or interpret their outcomes due to limited exposure. Furthermore, our students are placed at clinical sites throughout the Hampton Roads area; making frequent visits for instruction difficult. Integrating learning modules for commonly used outcomes measures can provide students with the information they need, or refresher, so they can incorporate outcomes assessment into practice.
