Collaborating Faculty
Craig Bayse, Chemistry and Biochemistry
The Chemistry Department has recently purchased Venier LabQuest instrumentation which automates data collection and provides graphic capabilities in a handheld device. This proposal requests funds to expand the use of the PDA-like devices into our non-majors chemistry (CHEM 106N) to enhance and modernize the lab experience through the real-time collection of data and direct interface with Windows and Macintosh software applications. This lab course is populated by a high percentage of nursing students who will gain experience using devices similar to those used in their upper level nursing clinic courses and healthcare settings.
