Collaborating Faculty
This project is intended to redesign two courses in the ID&T program to use internet based collaboration tools to create an academic learning community in which students work with each other, with the content and with the instructor in a generative manner to develop deep understanding of course academic objectives. In addition, the effort will contribute to the overall learning experience by addressing social learning aspects that contribute to students knowledge of self, their peers, and their academic community. The Sloan Pillars of Excellence, Anderson's Communities of Inquiry and the efficacy triangle serve as the theoretical basis.
