This introductory workshop will show you how to navigate through Canvas; how to set up your course settings; how to organize your course files; and how to create, upload, and edit content and assignments using the Canvas Rich Content Editor.

About the Presenters

Kristyn Rose

Kristyn Rose has been with the CLT since 2016, but has been an Instructional Designer for online learning since 2002. She holds a Master's of Education in Instructional Technology from Texas Tech University. Kristyn's passion is finding opportunities to be creative with new technologies, to deliver quality, engaging learning experiences for students.

Eric Cosio

Eric Cosio is an Instructional Technologist with the Center for Learning and Teaching at Old Dominion University. He earned a Masters of Library and Information Science degree from Rutgers University in 2009, and a Masters of Applied Information Technology from Towson University in 2019. He was formerly a librarian for over ten years in both public and academic libraries. He served as the branch manager of the former Jordan-Newby Library in Norfolk, Virginia and as the campus librarian for Bryant and Stratton College in Richmond, Virginia where he also taught courses in basic computer skills as an adjunct instructor. In these various positions, he has worked with many students, faculty, and staff to help them become more proficient with online learning tools and technologies.
