CLT Services OverviewThe Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) offers a variety of services to the faculty of Old Dominion University in order to accomplish its mission to support, promote, and enhance teaching, learning, and research; and to foster innovation. To help you identify the type of service you need, review the summaries listed below and feel free to explore the links to additional information provided about each. Consultation OverviewCLT provides consultation services to help you make decisions about teaching and learning. For example - just to name a few types of consultations - yours may be about appropriate types of activities or technologies to use to accomplish specific teaching goals; or about exploring best practices in the classroom; or about trying new delivery methods; or about acquiring graphics for your publications, posters, or research projects; or about creating multimedia products to support your teaching and research efforts. Please contact members of our staff if we can assist you in any way. Submit Project RequestAs a learning organization, the Center for Learning and Teaching is involved in a variety of efforts ranging from simple, small-scale projects to complex, large-scale projects. To effectively prioritize and manage our projects, we follow a lifecycle approach which we designed to provide a systematic approach to project requests, development, execution, and tracking. To request one of the following project types, use one of our online Project Request Forms. You will be required to log in using your MIDAS ID.

Graphic DesignCLT's Graphics staff provides professional design services for faculty and administrative staff for teaching, research, scholarly publications, conferences, seminars, and meetings. The Graphics offices are located on the first floor of the Gornto Center. Instructional Design GroupCLT's team of Instructional Designers and Instructional Technology Specialists is available to partner with you in collaboration on the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of your course(s), whether offered face-to-face, online, or via broadcast. The instructional designers and instructional technologists are located on the third floor of the Gornto Center. Multimedia Duplication and ViewingMultimedia Duplication and Viewing offers audio and video duplication services to Old Dominion University students, faculty, and staff. Viewing services are also available for Old Dominion University faculty and students. Multimedia ProductionMultimedia Production Services is a complete multimedia development facility with full non-linear video/audio production systems, PC and Macintosh multimedia suites, DVD/CD production and duplication systems, and a professional design staff. Staff members are recognized for expertise with streaming media and online courseware production, and can develop faculty material for worldwide delivery over the Internet. Contact Multimedia Production Services if you need assistance with capturing and editing video and audio, converting your VHS tapes to DVD, and integrating all your course materials into one seamless, professional production delivered on the Internet, CD, and/or DVD. We are also your source for live and archive streaming media, and can record your course lectures and conference presentations in our digital mini-studio. | |||||
