Request that one session of your class be recorded

CLT staff members are available to record your class and to provide you with a DVD for the purpose of self-evaluation. This option is offered to enable you to take a private look at your teaching style or to participate in a shared review with CLT staff regarding your teaching style and your classroom dynamic. In addition, the DVD will be yours to use as part of your teaching dossier for your annual evaluation or for tenure or promotion.

These sessions are confidential. They are intended for faculty development purposes only.
Instructional designers from CLT are available to attend one of your classes for observation and feedback. These observations are intended to offer faculty members confidential analysis, feedback, and suggestions on various aspects of their teaching strategies based on a pre-determined set of criteria that has been reviewed by both you and the instructional designer. You can invite the instructional designer to attend one or more class meetings or to review recordings, whichever you prefer. less info
Collect Feedback From Your Students

CLT instructional designers are available to attend one of your classes during the last 15 minutes, divide your class into small groups, and collect feedback on what aspects of your course your students believe work and on those that they don’t think work well. The feedback will be summarized and submitted to you for discussion maintaining student anonymity. The outcomes of this activity are intended to confirm successful teaching strategies and to identify areas that need improvement and to suggest practical strategies for improvement.

CLT offers an online course feedback form that you can deploy to your students directly from your Blackboard course.
To encourage students’ participation, consider giving them each member of the class a bonus point or two on midterm if the class’ evaluation form completion rate is above 85%.
