Blackboard: Taking a Quiz

| I logged into the quiz without a problem but left my computer for a while. I then finished the quiz and submitted it. I got a message indicating that I was no longer logged on. What happened?
Some Internet Service Providers have a time limit on inactivity. If you are inactive for a period of time, they may disconnect you from the Internet. See Browser Issues for more details regarding this problem. Blackboard also has an automatic log out time, but it is much longer (several hours) and is not usually a problem unless you leave your computer for a prolonged period of time. If you are logged out for any reason during the quiz, your answers will not be submitted and will be lost. You must then start the quiz again from the beginning. This annoyance is an issue that Blackboard will be addressing in an upcoming release so that portions of the quiz are submitted as you go along and less is lost if you lose your Internet connection |
