Online courses are taught primarily or completely asynchronously. There are many advantages to teaching and learning via an online format, but teaching online may not be for everyone or for every type of course.

thoroughly. You are strongly encouraged to:

- Read Planning to Teach Online. This section will give you an overview of things you need to keep in mind while preparing and teaching an online course.
