~~Looking for an easier way to load your exams and questions into your Blackboard course site? Respondus is a powerful tool for creating and managing exams that can be printed to paper or published directly to Blackboard.  As an ODU faculty or staff, you already have access to Respondus 4.0  to prepare, print, and upload exams  into Blackboard.

Respondus also allows you to download a Blackboard exam and save in a document for print or for your records.

During this workshop you will learn the steps to download and install your copy of Respondus onto your Windows system. The formatting of exams, questions, and answer selections will be explained and practiced during this hands on session.  Finally, you will learn the steps needed to upload an exam directly into your BlackBoard course site where you students can take the exam online.

It is  recommended that you bring in a Windows-based laptop so you can install the Respondus application onto your own system to take back home or to your office.  However, CLT will have lab computers that you can use to experience the installation process.

In this workshop, is to become familiar with the Blackboard workspace and how to utilize the basic course menu and control panel tools. Participants will discuss their expectations for using Blackboard and time will be dedicated to exploring common practices in the default configuration and options for customization.

~~At the end of this workshop, participants will be able:
• Download and install Respondus 4.0 onto a Windows-based system
• Format an exam, using  a variety of question types, for use with Respondus
• Upload the exam into a Blackboard course site as either a Blackboard test or Question Pool
• Review and configure the exam for delivery
• Download an existing exam from Blackboard onto your computer
At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • accomplish basic tasks by utilizing the Blackboard workspace
  • demonstrate the basic principles of course organization and editing
  • make informed decisions about how to organize the course menu and tools to meet their and their students' needs

~~Participants will be comfortable using Respondus 4.0  for exams and test questions with their Blackboard course sites.
